The Explorer F285XE ‘s light-weight design makes beach and boat diving easier than ever. The lightest Brownie unit produced, the F285XE utilizes direct drive technology with a 4-cycle OHV gasoline engine, and provides more than three hours of runtime.
The Explorer F285XE was developed for budget minded divers who don’t need more capacity than 2 divers on the unit at one time. Maximum depth range for this unit is around 80 feet, depending on diver exertion and breathing rate. On land, carrying the unit is easier than moving a single scuba tank and BC.
With its hard cover Travel Case, the F285XE is easy to store and easier to transport than regular scuba gear, making the Explorer F285XE the perfect system for exotic dive vacations.

The egressor system features a scuba pony bottle with a standard scuba valve, scuba regulator with a low-profile HP port gauge, and Brownie’s™ patented Drop Weight Cummerbelt™ with retention sleeve.
More than just a safety device, you’ll find all kinds of uses for your Egressor™ system. Light and small, it can be donned in seconds – much less time and effort than donning a full set of scuba. Also useful for quick response to items dropped over-board, verifying anchor location, hull inspection, prop clearing, and much more!
