Optimum Fuel Efficiency, Easy Starting and Improved Reliability
Westerbeke’s 5 kW Gas Generator comes with Multiport EFI, providing optimum fuel efficiency, easy starting and improved reliability. Electronic speed control (via electronic governor) maintains the engine at a constant speed (precise frequency regulation) and eliminates “bogging down” when load is applied. Water-cooled returnless fuel system aids in the prevention of vapor lock for improved performance in high temperatures. The MCG also features advanced diagnostic capabilities.
So Quiet, No Need for a Sound Shield
Westerbeke’s gas generators are so quiet, there’s no need for a sound shield. Featuring a 3-cylinder engine with a balance shaft that virtually eliminates vibration, the 5 kW Gen Set operates at an electronically controlled 1800 rpm for exceptionally quiet operation. In comparison, 3600-rpm engines are generally noisier than their 1800-rpm counterparts and require sound shields to maintain quiet operation.
